It has an outside diameter of approximately 1.2 inches.

The Battle Arms Development HEX FLASHCAN Blast Diverter is designed to attach to barrels with 1/2×36 thread pitch and is compatible with 9MM platforms. It uses billet aluminum construction with a hex-pattern exterior for structural form and handling. This model installs on the muzzle to redirect gas and noise forward during range use. In typical configurations, the blast diverter interfaces with the barrel threads to direct discharge away from the operator and does not reduce recoil, sound, or flash. The product is defined as a blast diverter with aluminum construction, threaded mounting interface, and 9MM compatibility.
