Compliance & Restrictions Policy

TactaBlue LLC ("TactaBlue," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to lawful, responsible commerce. Many of the Products sold on https://tactablue.com are subject to federal, state, and local laws. This Compliance & Restrictions Policy explains the rules that apply to your purchase. It is part of and incorporated into our Terms & Conditions.

Your responsibility. Laws differ by state, county, and city and change frequently. You are solely responsible for knowing and complying with all laws that apply to you and to your delivery address. By placing an Order, you certify that you may lawfully purchase, receive, and possess the Products, and that you are not prohibited by law from doing so. If you are unsure whether a Product is legal at your address, do not order it until you have confirmed.

1. Products We Do and Do Not Sell

TactaBlue sells tactical gear, firearm accessories and components, ammunition, magazines, optics and sights, cleaning and gunsmithing supplies, hunting and outdoor equipment, less-lethal defense products, airguns, and related merchandise.

We do not sell firearms. We do not sell serialized firearm frames or receivers, complete firearms, or any item that requires transfer through a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). We do not hold an FFL and do not conduct FFL transfers. We also do not sell ballistic body armor, ballistic plates, or ballistic panels; our plate carriers and vests are sold as carriers only, without ballistic protection. Items such as upper receivers, pistol slides, barrels, and internal parts are firearm components and accessories that are not, by themselves, "firearms" under federal law—but they may still be regulated in some states, and the rules below apply.

2. Age Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old to place any Order.
• Ammunition: You must be at least 18 years old to purchase rifle or shotgun ammunition and at least 21 years old to purchase handgun ammunition, consistent with federal law. Some states set higher age or licensing requirements.
• Certain other Products (for example, some less-lethal defense items) carry their own minimum-age or eligibility rules under state or local law.

By ordering, you certify that you meet the minimum age for every item in your Order. We may require age or identity verification and may cancel any Order that does not meet applicable requirements.

3. Prohibited Persons

You may not purchase Regulated Products if you are prohibited by federal, state, or local law from possessing them. This includes, among others, persons convicted of certain crimes, persons subject to certain court orders, and other categories defined by law (for example, federal law restricts possession of body armor by individuals convicted of a violent felony). You also may not purchase any Regulated Product on behalf of a person who is prohibited from possessing it, or for unlawful resale or transfer (a "straw purchase"). Straw purchasing and unlawful transfers are serious crimes.

4. Order Screening and Review

Our checkout and order-review process may screen Products for known shipping and compliance restrictions at a given destination. Because laws change often and no automated or manual process is perfect, this screening is provided as a courtesy and does not replace your own responsibility to comply with the law. All Orders remain subject to review, hold, cancellation, or refund if we determine that a Product cannot lawfully or safely be shipped to the destination address. We reserve the right to cancel, in whole or in part, any Order or item for compliance reasons—even after the Order is placed or payment is taken—and to issue a refund for any cancelled item.

5. Category-Specific Rules

Ammunition

Ammunition is heavily regulated. In addition to the age rules in Section 2, some states and localities prohibit direct-to-consumer ammunition shipments, require the buyer to hold a permit, license, or eligibility certificate, require delivery through a licensed in-state dealer, require background checks, or restrict certain calibers or quantities. We do not ship ammunition to any address where doing so would violate applicable law, and affected items will be restricted at checkout or cancelled after review. Ammunition is non-returnable for safety reasons (see our Returns & Warranty Policy).

Firearm Magazines

Several states and localities limit magazine capacity or restrict certain magazine types. We will not ship magazines that exceed the capacity permitted at your delivery address, and restricted magazines will be restricted at checkout or cancelled after review.

Firearm Components and Parts

Components such as upper receivers, pistol slides, barrels, triggers, and small parts are accessories rather than "firearms" under federal law, but certain states regulate specific parts or configurations (for example, features associated with "assault weapon" laws). You are responsible for ensuring that any component is legal to purchase, possess, and install in your jurisdiction and for your specific platform.

Less-Lethal Defense (OC/Pepper Spray, Batons, TASERs/ECDs)

Less-lethal defense products are prohibited or restricted in various states, counties, and cities, and may carry their own age or use requirements. We will not ship these items where they are prohibited, and restricted items will be restricted at checkout or cancelled after review.

Plate Carriers and Vests

TactaBlue sells plate carriers, tactical vests, and load-bearing gear that are sold as carriers only, without ballistic panels or plates. An empty plate carrier or tactical vest with no ballistic protection is generally treated as tactical gear rather than regulated body armor. We do not sell ballistic plates, ballistic panels, or completed ballistic ("bulletproof") vests.

If TactaBlue offers any ballistic body armor in the future, such items would be subject to federal and state restrictions—including federal law prohibiting possession by individuals convicted of a violent felony, and state-specific rules (for example, New York restricts the sale and delivery of ballistic body armor and may require eligibility and in-person transfer). Any such items would be sold only where lawful, and the Product description and applicable law would control.

Airguns and Airsoft

Some states and cities regulate the sale, shipment, or possession of airguns, air pistols, air rifles, and airsoft products. We will not ship these items where prohibited, and restricted items will be restricted at checkout or cancelled after review.

Knives and Blades

Knife laws vary widely by state and locality, including restrictions on certain blade types, lengths, and mechanisms. You are responsible for ensuring any knife or blade is legal at your delivery address, and restricted items will be restricted at checkout or cancelled after review where we are able to identify a restriction.

6. Verification, Signature, and Delivery

We may require identity or age verification, an adult signature on delivery, or additional documentation for certain Products. If verification cannot be completed, we may hold or cancel the affected Order.

7. Lawful Use

Products are sold for lawful use only. You assume all responsibility and risk for the safe, lawful selection, handling, use, storage, and transfer of any Product you purchase. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and all applicable safety practices and laws.

8. Order Cancellation for Compliance Reasons

We reserve the right to refuse, hold, or cancel any Order or item at any time for compliance reasons, including legal restrictions applicable to the Product or destination, failed verification, suspected straw purchasing, suspected fraud, or suspected unlawful use. If we cancel a paid Order or item for compliance reasons, we will refund the amount charged for the cancelled portion to your original payment method.
