The Fortis Manufacturing Muzzle Brake 5.56MM Black Control Compatible 1/2X28 is a muzzle brake designed for 5.56 NATO rifle platforms. This 5.56mm muzzle brake features 1/2×28 thread compatibility and is constructed from 4140 steel with a black nitride finish, providing a standard mounting configuration for compatible barrels.

The Fortis Manufacturing muzzle brake includes a crush washer for installation and is categorized under muzzle devices. It is designed to be control compatible and fits barrels threaded in 1/2×28 for 5.56 NATO applications. In normal operation, this muzzle brake attaches to the threaded muzzle of a rifle barrel to direct gases during firing.
