The Surefire WARCOMP-556-1/2-28 Flash Hider features a 1/2×28 thread pattern compatible with M4 and M16 style platforms chambered in 5.56 NATO. It is precision machined from heat-treated stainless steel bar stock and finished with a black Ionbond DLC coating for surface protection. This flash hider also functions as a suppressor adapter for SureFire SOCOM Series 5.56 mm Fast-Attach suppressors. It is designed to mount without permanent modification using standard threading interfaces. This product is used for flash suppression and mounting compatibility in rifle setups. In normal operation, the device includes high-precision cut threads and multiple bearing surfaces for alignment during installation.
